FAQs - Practical
Q: What do I get as part of the relocation assistance?
We offer a full relocation package which includes: all reasonable expenses; six weeks' temporary bed, breakfast and evening meal accommodation; and relocation support. Our graduates often arrange accommodation together, where appropriate. We'll also give you information on the local area.
Q: What is the social scene at work like?
You'll see quite a lot of other graduates on our schemes, and many often share accommodation. Aside from arranging your own nights out with them, however, there's also a really good social scene to look forward to at Kimberly-Clark. Some of our locations have Sports & Social clubs which arrange events and offer discounts for its members to gigs, events and exhibitions. We also hold events throughout the year, from team nights out to Christmas parties and charity events.
Q: Will I have to travel to other sites/offices regularly?
The schemes are rotational, which means you'll complete placements in different areas of the business within your chosen scheme. This could mean relocating to a different office or site, depending on the placement you're assigned to. In practice, expect to move locations at least once while on the scheme. Equally, you'll likely travel to other offices and sites occasionally for meetings, training and other events. The frequency of this will depend on the demands of the placement and will always be discussed with you at the time.
Q: What is the dress code in the office?
The dress code at our corporate offices is 'business casual'. This means smart, but no suits or ties are required. Some offices operate a dress-down policy on Fridays. We'll tell you whether it's appropriate to the office in which you work once you're here.
If you're based (or completing a placement) at one of our manufacturing sites, you'll likely need to wear a uniform – which we'll provide when you join.
Q: What hours will I have to work?
Our working week consists of 36.5 standard hours (excluding lunch breaks). Your start times will normally range between 6.00am and 9.30am. Finish times will range between 3.00pm and 8.00pm. It all depends on the needs of your department. We do, however, require some flexibility to ensure the requirements of the role are met.
Q: What benefits will I be entitled to?
You will be entitled to:
- 25 days' holiday a year with the option to 'buy' or 'sell' additional days
- Enrolment in the Kimberly-Clark Pension Scheme
- A company share purchase scheme
- Private health insurance
- The opportunity to take up private dental insurance
Q: Will I get a company car?
Company cars are not provided for graduates, but you may receive a car allowance if you're employed in a sales role. And any travel that you're required to do as part of your role can be claimed back through our expenses system. You will find it useful to have access to a car, however, as we'll ask you to travel between sites from time to time.
