A quarter of the world will rely on you
If graduate opportunities at Kimberly-Clark are about one thing, it's leadership. Each year we bring in very high calibre graduates who are not just excited about joining a global company with 56,000 people and a portfolio of much-loved brands, but who want to make it even better. And that's some challenge when you consider that every day, 1.3 billion people buy products from us. That's almost a quarter of the world's population.
The big name behind the big names
It's a big brief. We're an organisation that's almost 140 years old and still going strong – our sales for 2009 topped $19.1 billion. We're responsible for brands that range from consumer giants like Kleenex, Huggies, Andrex and Scott to the Kimberly-Clark Professional range which includes everything from soap dispensers to protective clothing.
Sustainability rules
We're also an organisation that believes that personal growth, commercial profitability, entrepreneurial spirit and responsible, sustainable business are all perfectly compatible. We've been a prominent member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for a long time and for five years running we've been named the Index's personal products industry sustainability leader.
What we offer
Whether you join our Marketing & Customer Management, Supply Chain or Finance scheme, you can look forward to a two or three-year structured programme (depending on which scheme you choose), that will see you work cross-functionally to ensure you learn lots, and quickly. Most important of all, you'll be doing a real job with real implications right from the off. This means senior-level visibility, constant challenges and high expectations. You'll be pushed here, not patronised.
We are a multinational business with an expansive view. You'll be based at various UK locations throughout your programme, with the possibility of European and international assignments.
We want you to go far
We'll assign you a senior mentor for the duration of the programme to support and encourage you all the way. On top of specific technical training, you'll also receive a professional development plan (PDP) that will cover presentation skills, influencing skills, personal effectiveness and business effectiveness.
What you'll need
Academically, we're looking for a 2.1 (or equivalent) in a business-related or relevant degree, fluency in English, strong ability with numbers and a flair for teamwork. A second European language – particularly Spanish, French, Italian or German – would really make you stand out. As would commercial experience.
